Quite often when a patient arrives in the clinic, they will say, “I was perfectly fine, then I just bent down and my back seized!”
However, it is often the case that this was just the Straw that Broke the Camels Back as the saying goes. Much of the damage, or problems that the patient arrives through the door with have been caused by months or even years of poor posture, coupled with the modern sedentary life style.
In our modern society, we spend large amounts of time sitting, often sitting in ways that are not at all beneficial to our spine in particular our lower back. Perhaps you drive or take public transport to work, then you sit for up to 8 hours a day in work. Although you may be active and use the gym all this sitting is weakening your core and therefore negaitvely affecting your back.
When you visit my clinic for the first time, I will not only take a detailed case history, but I will take a close look at your posture and how you are holding your body. Once we go through your treatment plan I will show you how to incorporate good posture into your daily routine. When you incorporate these changes along with your treatment, you will be feeling fit, flexible and ready for action in no time at all.
